Abstract
Human resources are a critical long-term investment for organizations, as the quality of employees directly influences the achievement of organizational goals. One key indicator of organizational success is work productivity. Productivity levels are strongly influenced by both the work environment and the motivation of employees. This study aims to examine the effect of the work environment on the work productivity of Company X in the United States, and to evaluate the mediating role of work motivation in this relationship. The study utilized a sample of 106 employees, selected through a non-probability saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that the work environment has a significant and positive effect on work productivity. Furthermore, the work environment significantly and positively impacts work motivation. However, work motivation was found to have a positive but statistically insignificant effect on work productivity. Consequently, work motivation does not mediate the relationship between the work environment and work productivity in this context. These findings suggest that while a positive work environment enhances both productivity and motivation, the motivational factor alone does not significantly translate into higher productivity.
