Licensing Terms
At Wilma Global Journals, we believe in maximising the reach and impact of scholarly work through transparent and flexible licensing arrangements. Our licensing terms ensure that authors retain control of their work while enabling the widest possible dissemination.
1. Default License
All articles published are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License.
- Sharing: Copying, distributing, and transmitting the work in any medium or format.
- Adaptation: Remixing, transforming, and building upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
- The only requirement is proper attribution to the author(s) and the original source.
2. Author Rights
- Full copyright of their published work.
- The freedom to reuse, distribute, and build upon their work without restrictions.
- The right to deposit their work in institutional repositories, academic networks, and personal websites immediately upon publication.
3. Third-Party Material
Authors must ensure that any third-party content (e.g., figures, charts, datasets, images) used in their article complies with licensing agreements.
If such content is not covered by an open license, authors are required to secure written permission before submission.
4. Compliance with Funders and Institutions
Our licensing policy complies with the requirements of major research funders and institutions worldwide that mandate open access under Creative Commons licenses.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their chosen license aligns with the obligations of their funding body or institution.
5. Publisher’s Role
Wilma Global Journals will clearly display the applicable license on each published article.
The publisher ensures the visibility of licensing terms across databases, repositories, and indexing services where the article is archived.
6. Exceptions
In rare cases where alternative licensing is required (e.g., due to legal or institutional restrictions), authors may request an alternative arrangement.
Such exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
